Dentist in Chembur East
Chembur East is where The Dental House was born, and it remains our home ground. We opened on Shell Colony Road on 13 March 2016, when the building was quieter and the neighbourhood was just beginning its recent wave of redevelopment. A decade later, the clinic has grown into a specialist practice serving families across the entire Chembur catchment — but the address has not changed, and most of our Chembur East patients can still walk to us.
A decade of trusted dental care · Est. 2016Getting to The Dental House from Chembur East
The clinic is on Shell Colony Road in the heart of Chembur East. From Chembur railway station, walk south along the station road and turn onto Shell Colony Road — The Central building is on the left past the Shell petrol pump. Auto-rickshaws from the station take about five minutes and cost around ₹30. If you are coming by monorail, the Chembur monorail station is 300 metres from the clinic.
Shell Colony Road is one of those addresses that residents of Chembur East do not need explained to them. Flanked by the older walk-up buildings of RCF Colony on one side and the newer towers of the Shell Colony residential stretch on the other, it sits at the working centre of the area. The Central building, where The Dental House occupies the second floor, is a secure commercial complex that has become a familiar landmark for anyone who has lived in the neighbourhood for more than a few years.
In ten years of practising here, we have noticed something consistent about patients from Chembur East: they stay. A child who came in at four for their first check-up comes back at fourteen for braces, and their parents come back for root canals and implants. Word travels on Shell Colony Road the way it always has in a close-knit neighbourhood — by recommendation. We have met patients at a second visit who told us their neighbour, their building watchman, or a relative from the next lane sent them.
The treatments we do most in Chembur East reflect the neighbourhood's demographics. Families with young children make up a significant share of our patients, which is why Dr Niti's approach to kids' dentistry — no white coat, no instruments shown in advance, no pressure — matters more here than anywhere else. Clear aligners and braces cases are growing as the area's younger professional population settles in. And implant cases from long-standing residents who lost teeth years ago and are now ready to replace them permanently are a consistent part of the practice.
Being here for ten years also means we know the local calendar. We know that the weeks after Diwali see an uptick in emergency appointments. We know that summer holidays bring the families who have been putting off a check-up since January. And we know that the monsoon makes the walk from Chembur station wetter but not longer.
